George Ewart founded the firm in 1996 with a vision to create architecture that strengthens both businesses and the communities they serve. He is currently licensed in 13 states, an AIA member, and NCARB certified. With more than four decades of experience, he leads the design and planning of a wide range of projects across healthcare, industrial, retail, office, and commercial sectors.
Over the years, he has held numerous leadership roles supporting the built environment and regional development, including Chair of the Knox County Historic Zoning Commission, President of the East Tennessee AIA Board of Directors, Metropolitan Planning Commissioner, and member of the Knox County Board of Construction Standards.
George is also deeply engaged in civic and educational initiatives throughout East Tennessee. He currently serves on the University of Tennessee Alumni Board of Directors and the West Virginia State University Board of Visitors, and has long supported organizations such as Emerald Youth Foundation and Leadership Knoxville, reflecting his commitment to mentorship, community investment, and future industry leadership.
When he’s not working or serving the community, George enjoys smoking meats at his BBQ restaurant on Sutherland Ave, cheering on the Vols, and spending time with his wife Cindy and their now-grown children.
