Cara joined GAE Architecture + Design in April 2009 as the firm’s controller. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Tennessee in 2003 and began her career in public accounting before choosing to move into private accounting and joining the firm. Cara later had the opportunity to become a partner and now leads all things financial, overseeing the firm’s accounting, reporting, and fiscal strategy. She is a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and was recognized in the Knoxville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Class of 2019.
Outside of the office Cara is involved in her Knoxville community in a variety of ways and currently serves as treasurer on the board of The Children’s Center of Knoxville. You can often find Cara and her husband Dave cheering on their three kids at sporting events all around the area.
