GAE Architecture + Design
Office
The GAE Architecture + Design office at Bearden Park in Knoxville is a purpose-built workplace designed to support the daily operations of the firm while also accommodating space for two additional tenants.
Designed and built by the firm, the project reflects a practical, long-term approach to creating an efficient, flexible office environment that fits comfortably within its setting. The sloping site played a key role in shaping the design, with the building nestled into the hillside to minimize site disruption while maintaining access and visibility.
Architecturally, the exterior draws inspiration from historic train station buildings. Custom steel brackets support the roof and add structure and detail to the façade. Together, these elements create a functional workplace and adaptable tenant space grounded in context and longevity.
