Tennessee Packaging is a 159,000 sq ft industrial facility designed to combine design offices, production, and warehousing for cardboard box manufacturing. The building includes five receiving docks and five shipping docks, separated and positioned adjacent to their respective operations to support efficient workflow.

Visibility from I-75 influenced the building’s form. An elevated office tower doubles as a two-story lobby and creates a strong presence along the interstate, clearly distinguishing the office component from the larger production and warehouse spaces.

The facility incorporates dedicated areas for recycling scrap cardboard and reclaiming ink used in box printing, supporting efficient material reuse. The project became a prototype for the company and was later replicated at a facility in Pennsylvania.

This project was inducted into the Varco Pruden Hall of Fame.
