GI for Kids
Healthcare

The GI for Kids medical building was designed to replace an inefficient, fragmented medical office with an intentional facility built around pediatric care, the family experience, and improved operational flow. The project brought the practice together under one well-organized building, with additional office space for UT Medical Center located on the second floor.

Integrated into the Northshore Town Center development, the building was carefully planned to function within a mixed-use setting while clearly establishing its identity as a pediatric healthcare destination. Site planning, massing, and access were all considered to create a welcoming presence and make arrival intuitive for families.

Inside, the building is organized to improve efficiency and reduce confusion for both patients and staff. Clinical areas are planned to support clear circulation and smoother transitions throughout each visit, while a two-story waiting room anchors the experience with a bright, engaging space designed to help children feel more at ease.
That same approachability extends to the exterior, where the use of color and material softens the building’s presence and helps create a healthcare environment that feels welcoming rather than intimidating for kids and families.
