Games & Things retail exterior showcasing brick facade, large signage, and inviting entrance, designed and built by George Ewart, a top commercial architect firm in Knoxville, TN.

Games & Things is a 15,000 square-foot specialty retail space designed to showcase home entertainment products in an immersive, hands-on environment. Created as a major expansion of the brand’s existing store, the project doubles its previous footprint — giving customers more room and space to explore pool tables, games, bar seating, and home theater furnishings.

The design approach for this project centered on helping customers envision how large entertainment pieces would live in their own homes. Pool tables anchor the center of the store, surrounded by residential-style vignettes that pair tables, bars, and seating together in realistic settings. This layout allows customers to see scale, finishes, and combinations in context rather than as standalone products.

To further enhance the experience, a full home movie theater was incorporated into the showroom. Customers can sit in theater seating, watch a movie, and truly test the product before purchasing.

By combining open display areas with immersive, at-home environments, the store elevates the shopping experience and makes it easier for customers to make confident decisions.

The project was recognized nationally for its design approach, earning the 2009 Billiard Retailer National Showroom Design Awards Grand Prize.
