Located along Washington Pike, an important corridor connecting long-established neighborhoods to Knoxville’s urban core, the site presented an opportunity to introduce higher-density residential living while remaining sensitive to its surroundings. GAE Architecture + Design approached the project with a focus on scale, massing, and materiality, ensuring the development feels approachable, well-integrated, and grounded in its context.

That contextual approach informed a site plan conceived as a collection of interconnected living environments rather than a single residential complex. Five garden-style apartment buildings are arranged to define outdoor spaces, encourage walkability, and maintain a consistent human-scale experience throughout the site. Shared amenities, landscaped open spaces, and clear circulation patterns are woven into the layout to foster interaction and support a strong sense of community.
